Lord of the Isles Holiday
Isles of Barra, South & North Uist, Benbecula, Harris and Lewis.
10 days / 9 nights

Information on accommodation available on this holiday.

Imagine being here at Seilebost on the Island of Harris
with this endless sandy beach all to yourself.

Incredible, unique, breathtaking - there's nowhere else like these amazing islands.

You can also start from Oban on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Thursday (some ferry times change). The number of nights in each island can be amended - see the Treasure Islands Holiday for examples. To include the Isle of Skye, see Escape to the Hebrides and Hebridean Isles holidays.

Optional Extra - Let us know if you wish to relax and stay overnight in Oban and explore the area before sailing to Barra.

WEDNESDAY - Barra. You sail from Oban at 13.40 across the Minch to Castlebay in the Isle of Barra, arriving at 18.30 for two nights. The smallest of the main islands, Barra is noted for its beauty with over 1000 different species of wild flower and stunning sandy beaches.

FRIDAY - The Uists & Benbecula. Journey northwards on the ferry from Ardmhor in Barra to Eriskay, connected to South Uist by a causeway. There are 4 or 5 daily crossings taking 40 minutes.

The Uists offer a stunning blend of brilliant white shell beaches and dunes, machair lands and freshwater lochs, interrupted by rolling dark moorland hills. Home to Corncrakes, otters, orchids and rare carpet flowers. A haven for bird and wildlife watchers and good for fishing and golf.

Bridges and causeways link North & South Uist to Benbecula so you can choose to stay in any part of this island group for your 3 nights.

MONDAY - Harris. Sail from Berneray in North Uist at 10.40 or 13.30, arriving in Leverburgh at 11.40 or 14.30 for your two nights in Harris. The bare, rocky landscape of east Harris is striking and very unusual, contrasted with glorious sandy bays and seascapes of the west coast.

WEDNESDAY - Lewis. A relaxing day to drive north to Lewis for Wednesday and Thursday nights. As an alternative, your 4 nights in Harris and Lewis can be spent in one location if you prefer.

FRIDAY - Sail from Stornoway at13.45 or 12.40 (depending on the time of year), arriving in Ullapool at 16.30 or 15.25 where this holiday ends.

Optional Extra - Let us know if you wish to relax and stay overnight in Ullapool or nearby - we have a choice of hotel and guest house accommodation.
