There are four adjoining architect designed chalets, three sleeping 5 each and one sleeping 3. Each has a verandah, kitchen/dining/lounge area and a ground floor bedroom with a double bed. The three chalets sleeping 5 also have an upper bedroom with three single beds.

They are heavily insulated, with double glazing throughout and wall to wall carpeting, except in the kitchen and bathroom areas, which have cork tiles.

Electricity is at approx. cost price via £1 meter; there is convection heating in the lounge as well as a hot/cold fan heater, the bedrooms have oil filled radiators. The bathroom has an electric shower and there is constant hot water for the kitchen sink and washhand basin. The kitchenette has refrigerator, electric kettle and electric cooker.

There is colour TV (no British signal here, but good Irish reception) and a washing machine is available. Bed linen and towels (except beach) are provided. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept under control.

There is a shop/Post Office nearby. The Colonsay Hotel nearby offers dinner and has bar suppers in the summer.

There are important pre-Iona Christian remains and many Viking sites. Two portions of the ancient Caledonian forest survive here and the exotic rhododendron gardens of Colonsay House are open to the public. The beautiful sandy beaches are washed by the waters of the Gulf Stream. A wonderful unspoilt island.
